Through these changes we still want to reward consistency and teams' ability to qualify to Majors while better rewarding the teams that make a deep run in the biggest competitions of the season. Additionally, reaching the playoffs phase of a Major will be rewarded with more points, and placing amongst the bottom 8 teams of a Major won't be rewarded with as many points as the last season. Regional competitions will award less points overall and the number of points awarded for each placement in regional competitions will be flattened with less difference in points earned from one placement to the next.
